# System tags

Creating tags in the system settings is a useful way to provide general tags for all boards to use and benefit from.  Continue reading to learn how!

### **Open System settings**

To access this page, use the navigation menu (9 dot menu) located at the top and select System settings.

### **Create tag**

Making a new category is easy. Click on the **\+ Create tag** button at the top-right of the screen, type a title (you can add a description if you want), pick a color that helps you recognize the tag.
