Seamless flow with Security Center SaaS
Overview
With Security Center SaaS Premium, users get instant access to a fully unified Operations Center, complete with a preconfigured work ticketing board. This out-of-the-box experience enables teams to begin managing work immediately — with no setup or delays. Whether it’s reporting a camera issue or requesting officer assistance, users can act quickly and keep their environments secure from day one.
Important Limitations:
- User Access: Limited to 5 users in the Operations Center under the Premium plan.
- Service User Restriction: Only 1 service user, already linked to the SC SaaS instance—no additional integrations can be created.
- Configuration Restrictions: No system-level customization options (e.g., categories, tags, custom fields, checklist templates).
- Reporting Limitations: Users cannot create custom reports or dashboards.
One-Click Work Request from Security Center SaaS
From issue to action in seconds — no context lost, no time wasted.
When a Security Center SaaS operator notices an issue — like a blurry video feed or offline camera — they can right-click and select “Create Work Request”. This opens a smart popup where:
- A snapshot of the video feed is automatically included
- The operator enters a description of the issue
Once submitted, a card is created in Operations Center’s preconfigured board, instantly notifying the respective team. This enables faster response, clear communication— all without ever leaving the SC interface.
Work Management with Operations Center
Genetec™ Operations Center is a work management solution built for security. It’s designed to improve productivity, communication, and collaboration across security teams.
When logging into Operations Center, SaaS Premium users will see their preconfigured board right on the board overview page. This board is automatically created and configured through the integration with Security Center SaaS.
Users can also create an unlimited number of boards in Operations Center for their various workflows. Whether dispatching patrol teams, managing system maintenance activities, or handling asset management — they can seamlessly track and report on work.
Note: Currently, only the default board is connected to Security Center SaaS. Further boards and custom configuration will be supported in the near future.
